AC Power Failure-Hold down [ 9 ] for 5 seconds to silence keypad. This could be because of a Electric Service outtage (there would be no power in the house), or possibly a house fuse is blown or circuit breaker is tripped. If you have verified that all house circuits are OK, but the trouble condition does not correct itself, please call for a service technician. |

Low Back-Up Battery-your backup battery is low or disconnected. This could be a normal indication after a power outage, and if so, should correct itself within 24 hrs. If you have not had any power outages in the last 24 hours, it may indicate that the battery needs to be replaced (every 3-5 years) by a service technician. |

Communication Failure- This indicates that the alarm panel is unable to communicate with the central station. Often this is caused by a loss of telephone service, or if someone or something is using the phone when the system tried to communicate with the central staton. The alarm system will retry many times. If your phone service has not been interrupted, and this indication does not clear itself shortly, please call for a service technician. Hold down [ 9 ] for 5 seconds to silence keypad. |

Smoke Alarm Tripped- If you do not have a fire, enter your User Code to stop alarm from sounding. Clear out any smoke and press and hold [9] for 5 seconds. System will call in a reset signal. Trouble light will then clear. |
If your keypad is displaying indications other than listed here, please contact our service department. To contact Paramount Alarm Service Dept. please call 214-943-7600. If you have called after working hours an operator will take a message, if you feel you have an emergency, please specify at that time.
KEY PAD WILL NOT TAKE CODE:
If you make a mistake when entering your User Code, simply wait 2 seconds then re-enter User Code.
BYPASSING ZONES:
1. To bypass a zone, press [B/A] key and then press the zone(s) you wish to bypass.
2. Arm the system, enter your 4 digit User Code. The green "Status" light will go out and the red "Armed/Alarm" light will light. The System is now Armed. If you make a mistake when entering your User Code, simply wait 2 seconds then re-enter User Code.
3. Leave the premises through the designated Entry-Exit door before the Exit Delay expires.
All bypassed zones will not trigger an alarm, and will reset to previous state when the alarm is disarmed.
CHIME FEATURE:
This causes the keypad to chime when a programmed door is opened and the system is disarmed. Pressing the [ 5 ] key for 5 seconds will activate and deactivate this feature. This feature will remain in effect through arming and disarming cycles.
ARMING YOUR SYSTEM:
1. Before arming the system, ensure all protected doors and windows are closed, stop any movement in areas protected by motion detectors. When all zones are closed, the green "Status" light will be ON, if the "Status" light is flashing with a zone number showing, the zone indicated is not secured.
2. To arm the system, enter your 4 digit User Code The green "Status" light will go out and the red "Armed/Alarm" light will light. The System is now Armed. If you make a mistake when entering your User Code, simply wait 2 seconds then re-enter User Code.
3. Leave the premises through the designated Entry-Exit door before the Exit Delay expires.
DISARMING YOUR SYSTEM:
1. Enter the premises through the designated Entry-Exit door. The keypad will sound a steady tone to remind you to disarm the system before the Entry Delay expires.
2. Go to the keypad and enter your User Code. The red "Armed" light will go out, and the green "Status" light will light. If you make a mistake simply wait 2 seconds then re-enter User Code.
3. If an alarm occurred while the system was armed, the red "Armed/Alarm" light will be flashing. Press and hold the [B/A] key until all tripped zones are displayed. To reset the display, hold down the [ 9 ] key for 5 seconds.
Important Note:If you return to the premises and find that an alarm is in progress or that the alarms was tripped, do not enter the premises as an intruder may be present. Go to a neighbor and contact the local authorities from there.
